First LMW CNC machine · 3rd generation joins
Invested in the first LMW CNC turning centre, beginning HC's transition from conventional to precision CNC manufacturing. Heramb Magdum — 3rd generation and current CEO — joined the business after completing his engineering degree, bringing fresh technical leadership to the shop floor.
Machining of CI castings begins
Diversified into machining Cast Iron components using conventional lathes — expanding beyond the aluminium product line and laying the foundation for HC's full-service job-shop capabilities.

Hindustan Castings founded
Bapusaheb Magdum, together with his sons Kailash and Deepak, established Hindustan Castings at MIDC Gokul Shirgaon, Kolhapur — beginning as an aluminium gravity casting unit with a self-developed product line of aluminium utensils.
